Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Mandi Parishad is expanding modern agricultural marketing infrastructure, digital trading facilities and farmer welfare initiatives to improve market access, promote transparency and support better returns for farmers across the state.
The council has reported an increase in revenue, with collections rising from ₹857.30 crore up to August in the 2025-26 financial year to ₹875.31 crore during the corresponding period in 2026-27, registering a growth of 2.10 per cent.
Under the National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) initiative, digital trading is being promoted across 162 mandis in Uttar Pradesh. More than ₹1,575 crore worth of digital trade was recorded between August 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026. The platform aims to connect farmers with wider markets, encourage competitive price discovery and make agricultural transactions more transparent.
The e-Mandi initiative is also helping digitise the internal operations of market committees. During the same period, approximately 11,894 e-Mandi licences were issued, while more than 1.58 crore online slips were generated. The digital system is intended to streamline mandi-related procedures, improve record management and make services more accessible to farmers, traders and commission agents.
The Mandi Parishad is also implementing welfare schemes to provide financial assistance to beneficiaries associated with agricultural marketing. As of August 31, 2026, a total of 6,899 farmer beneficiaries had received grants amounting to ₹12.77 crore, equivalent to ₹1,277.24 lakh.
Boost to Mango Exports
The council is supporting the processing, packaging and export of Uttar Pradesh’s mangoes through pack houses located in Lucknow, Amroha and Saharanpur. These facilities are intended to help meet export-quality requirements and connect the state’s agricultural produce with international markets.

Between August 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, the mango pack houses in Lucknow and Saharanpur processed and packed 41.879 metric tonnes of mangoes for export to various countries. Separately, during the 2026-27 financial year, the facilities in Lucknow, Amroha and Saharanpur processed and packed 433.742 metric tonnes of mangoes for export, according to the information released by the council.
The expansion of processing and packaging facilities is expected to support export-oriented agricultural activities and create opportunities for farmers to access wider markets for their produce.
126 Tractors Distributed Under Farmer Gift Scheme
Under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Uphaar Yojana, 126 tractors were distributed among farmers on December 23, 2025, during the state’s Kisan Samman Diwas celebrations marking the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh.
The initiative aims to encourage the adoption of modern agricultural machinery and improve farm productivity. Tractors can help farmers complete agricultural operations more efficiently while saving time and labour.
Through digital trading platforms, financial assistance, export infrastructure and agricultural mechanisation initiatives, the Uttar Pradesh Mandi Parishad is working to modernise the state’s agricultural marketing system and improve facilities for farmers and other stakeholders.
